"The sublime house anthem "Epic" is the first commercially-released single from Boston-based DJ/Producer/Re-mixer Ranny...... "Epic" is a ready-for-big-rooms collaboration with established siren Rachel Panay ("Back to Love," "Repeat Performance"), who successfully marries her own lyrics and polished, but striking, vocals to Ranny’s opulent instrumental. The 10-track single boasts a variety re-mixes (Manny Lehman, Tommy Love, Luis Erre, Bryan Reyes, Allan Natal, JJ Romero, and Sultanes del Sonido) alongside Ranny’s original mix and radio edit.
Natal’s mix is colored with a sound palate not unfamiliar to Offer Nissim, while Lehman once again successfully wraps his tentacles around a tribal vibe. Ranny’s decision to hand-pick his "Epic" re-mixers is one of many smart choices. While most of the names won’t ring bells stateside, some are high-profile Latin American DJs whose re-mixes are border-jumping with an increasing regularity - and with good reason."
